Morning-After: Run to your local Chinese restaurant and pick up steamed rice, put it in a bowl, top with two butter-fried eggs, a squiggle of sriracha, and handful of chopped scallions.
Cures: the cold
combine apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ginger and a generous spoonful of cayenne, and a bit of water. let sit in a jar in the fridge (up to a week) and drink whenever the sniffles have you down.
Cures: Sore throat
1 teaspoon salt
put in glass and fill with warm water. Gargle. Repeat as needed. And your throat feels better-ish!

Find the nearest Vietnamese restaurant and order Tom Yum Soup. Something about the combination of hot liquids and the spices is an instant relief! Best enjoyed on couch with crappy tv and kleenex.

Mix equal parts lemon and honey. Stash in the fridge and take spoonfuls before bed. Yum.

Turmeric Milk
Cures: Cough and Sore Throat
Warm a cup of milk with a tea spoon of ground turmeric (or more if you can take the bitter taste). Sweeten with honey. Sip. My grand mum made this for me, and it worked every time!
